Fair Access

Image of balancing scaleIf two individuals with the same level and type of disability have similar needs, they should be able to access similar supports and services, right?

WRONG. There is no guarantee or minimum standard of supports in current provincial or territorial systems.  No national standard exists to ensure individuals with similar needs are treated equally, or to ensure needed supports are even available in every community.

A national program could set country-wide standards to ensure fair access.
