Middle-aged, autistic, lost without mom: Where does a family turn?

It is not typically so with autism.

Jennifer James lives deep in Renfrew County and will never see the Left Bank, nor read a book, let alone write one.

Her plight is more common in the wide footprint of the syndrome: approaching middle-age, severely debilitated, living in an old farmhouse, at a crossroads in terms of long-term care, a station in life that has overwhelmed her family. [Read the full story and watch the video here]
