Queen’s Park: Newmarket-Aurora MPP Frank Klees took his advocacy for Newmarket resident Shay Nakhdjavan to the floor of the legislature today, hoping to secure the much-needed residential care that medical specialists have been recommending for years.
Klees told the legislature that Shay was placed on a wait list for residential care when she was 14 years old. “She is now 34 years old” said Klees. “That’s 20 years on a wait list for someone who suffers from multiple health conditions including epilepsy and seizure disorder, Dravet syndrome, a severe brain disorder related to epilepsy, Cognitive delay, autism, diabetes and obesity.” [Read the full blog post here]by
