Inaccessible Iqaluit: resident says wheelchair ramps ‘scary’

Getting around Iqaluit can be tough for anyone, but it’s especially tough for Wendy Ireland who relies on a wheelchair.

Ireland is part of Iqaluit’s new accessibility committee. The committee can’t meet at city hall because it’s not wheelchair accessible. Instead, they meet at the Anglican Parish Hall, which has two ramps. But Ireland says neither of them are safe or practical.
