Alberta teen with muscular dystrophy who successfully battled governments to pursue his dream dies in hospital

Thomas Sorensen – a young man who refused to let his dreams be eclipsed by his disability – died in a Calgary hospital early Monday morning.

Thomas and his family battled governments and won his right for funding to attend Carleton University in Ottawa and go after his dreams in the field of biology.
